Day 51: Ba-day?

Madagascar

Leaving Tolaira today with a long day of driving ahead of us. Eight hours of watching the lovely scenery change from coastal to wheat to rice to mountainous terrain. Today’s journey is from Tolaira to Finastroa. Seeing the diverse countryside makes me realize just how remote Andava was. It really was the most unique place I’ve ever been.

Today’s highlight: We saw a huge swarm of locus flying through the valley today. It seemed like glitter confetti was caught up in a whirl wind and dancing through the valley.

Arriving at the hotel was such a surprise. It seemed quite luxurious and had many amenities… it even had a bidet. I think i’m going to try it out tomorrow….I don’t quite understand how it works and how the water doesn’t just go everywhere.
