Day 18: Nosy Fasy

Madagascar

The word Nosy is very common in Malagasy. It means ‘sand’, which is everywhere. Today was our day off and the entire group went to an island called ‘Nosy Fasy’ (I have no idea what Fasy means). This island is the tip of a sand bar that is only exposed during low tide, which adds to it’s magic!  DSC_3416

A little reading and a lot of tanning later, the tide began to rise. The last pirogue left the island just as the last wave covered the island.
